Immersion Learning - Dolphins

In Immersion Learning’s Dolphins multimedia curriculum, students join dolphin scientist Dr. Kathleen Dudzinski as she researches the communication and behavior of dolphins around the world. Students will use reading selections, hands-on activities, photos, videos, games, and more to learn as much as possible about these amazing marine mammals.

Through their Immersion adventure, students will:

  • Meet real-life scientists and learn about their work
  • Explore a wide variety of STEM topics including evolution, adaptations, behavior, communication, sound, waves, research tools, marine science, animal rescue and rehabilitation, constellations, conservation, and careers

As with all Immersion Learning curricula, Dolphins is designed to be implemented in a wide variety of informal and formal education settings such as after-school programs, summer camps, and elementary and middle school science classrooms. The curriculum includes enough material for 12 to 20 lessons with activity notes, extensions, multimedia connections, adaptations for younger students, and additional educator resources.

The Dolphins multimedia curriculum includes...

Educator Pack
The educator pack includes a 142-page full-color copy of the print curriculum, a CD containing a PDF version of the curriculum, and a DVD containing corresponding video clips. The curriculum is written at a sixth grade level and can be used with students in grades 1 through 8.
